Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you charge more for weddings?
We make a surcharge for wedding bookings. Most weddings are booked well in advance and require a level of commitment and preparation from us which exceeds most other bookings. Personal diaries take second place and we will often put in many more hours of rehearsal time to ensure that your special day runs as smoothly as possible.
How long do you play for?
Usually we perform two sets of 45 mins to 1 hour each. We have enough material to play for about 4-5 hours, but fingers, vocal chords and Martyn's pacemaker realistically limit us to 3 hours Max. Minimum bookable set time is 1 hour.
can you provide music in between live sets?
Yes. We can, and frequently do. Any mp3 player or laptop with a standard 3.5mm headphone socket will connect up to our PA and provide you with a great sound system. Whether you want Bach or Beiber. Our stage lights also provide enough for a basic disco. We can also hire extra disco lights if you require the full night club experience!
Can we choose what songs you play?
You are welcome to select any tracks from our current repertoire for your night. It's always a hard task having to leave so many of them out! We will often adapt our planned setlist through the night depending on the audience demographic and reaction to certain songs. Given enough notice, we will learn songs for you, though there may be a charge for this.
How can we reduce the cost?
The biggest factors affecting our fee are our time (before, during and after the event) and transport costs. Try and keep this to a minimum, but bear in mind that it takes approx 90 mins to unload, set up and sound check; plus an hour to pack up after we finish.
Providing your own music on an iPod or laptop is also an easy way to save you some expense.
Do you do any ABBA?
